Take That - Please haters, have a little .... Patience

After great demand -cough- , my first post will be on the Take That concert I attended in Cardiff on the 14th of June. Let me start by saying that.. as a certified heterosexual, I enjoyed myself. Like many of you I was skeptical  of the singing prowess possessed by Robbie and Co, and at roughly £80 a ticket it certainly was a hefty gamble to take, that was for sure -see what I did there?-
Let me set the set the scene for everyone, 61000 adoring fans with an average age of roughly 40. You can taste the oestrogen on your lips, the roar of the crowd as an advert for Take That -sponsored by Samsung- appeared on the tv's without any appearence of the group themselves..........
Then, suddenly, as I was pre-occupied by other more interesting things -like the fact somebody was sitting in another persons seat- when Gary Barlow appeared. To say the crowd screamed would be severly underestimating the power of 61,000 moist women. The rest of the gang appeared, they sung, I clapped along with the thought that something was missing from this frankly amazing set piece.
Robbie appeared, I must say I used to loathe the man, arrogant, talentless... I could go on. But goddamn can that man control a crowd. After bashing out in my personal opinion the best songs of the show -in terms of crowd reaction- like Angels, Rock DJ. The group finally felt complete. Two hours of fantastic spectacles such as a 60ft robot, waterfall stage, abseiling from the ceiling. I left the venue a changed man. Without a shred of embarrassment I can confidently say.

 I like Take That
